So basically surfing holds a lot of promise for its enthusiasts and people who would like experience surf adventures. But what goes it take to be a surfing master?

As I’ve said just like in any sport, you have to know the game, just like a mountaineer, before he goes on a climb he has to know the terrain of the mountain he’s gonna climb, in the same token before you go on your surf adventures you have to know the different waves that you will deal with. Putting safety first before putting up a show for not all waves are favourable for surfing. There basically three different waves, one is the shore dump wave which rises above the near the beach already, it has a high sharp rise and doesn’t hold for long so it slams back down in shallow waters with great impact. This kind of wave is not favourable for surfing for it might cause injuries to the surfer, and to the swimmers in the shallow waters.

Another is the rolling waves, this type of wave starts far away from the deep regions in the ocean going to the shore with moderate intensity, it does not die too soon thus giving enough surf for surfers to ride on. This type of wave is the one ideal for your surfing adventures.

Lastly, there are the surging waves, these are waves which are not high and they continually hit the beaches, often times they indicate the onset of a coming storm.

Now that you the basic wave types around, now you can go out there and start your surf adventures and make them as memorable as possible. But still exercise safety so that you’ll still get the chance to tell people about you surf adventures.
